Playing any of the pmds or any rpg with a major character twist for a second time, looking at *that one mf™* like:

something that's really interesting abt bravern's 'first' appearance is that it's ever so slightly differently depicted in ep 1 vs ep 9, and not just because they've got suzumura doing it in ep 1 and azakami doing it in ep 9. there's little things like bravern screwing up ore vs watashi in ep 9 and bravern more audibly eating shit before he remembers burn blade in ep 9

anyway i don't have some grand conclusion to this post i'm just pondering narrative choices, reliable narration, etc. ore vs watashi in particular is very interesting to me. there's not really a reason why we as the audience shouldn't 'hear/see' that part of the conversation in ep 1--we're experiencing the story through isami at that very point in the episode and he is paying CLOSE attention--but like.....maybe very much in bravern style the story and its feelings matter more than the logic and 1. that might've been too hefty of a hint to drop on the viewer first ep! 2. it's probably more impactful to the story that we first get to see at that very moment through smithvern's perspective the active choices of self obfuscation he's pulling as bravern
